Red Sand Project

As part of a peace of eden’s mission to empower women through community & story, I would like to bring you a cause close to my heart: the Red Sand Project

Human Trafficking is alive, present and right before our eyes. As of 2015 Michigan was ranked just No. 2 behind Nevada in human trafficking cases. Education and awareness are the first steps in creating a community of fighter’s.

We also featured founder and new mama Molly Gochman’s story last year on the blog 🙂

Please empower yourself. It starts with one person.

Red Sand Project is a participatory artwork that uses sidewalk interventions, earthwork installations, and convenings to create opportunities for people to question, to connect and to take action against vulnerabilities that can lead to human trafficking and exploitation.

Red Sand Project installations and events have taken place in all 50 United States and in more than 70 countries around the world. More than 155,000 Red Sand Project toolkits have been requested and/or used by people and groups of diverse backgrounds – from students through educators, businesses through outreach organizations, concerned citizens through celebrities.
